Snow Dusted Field One, abstract landscape by Carol Engles

8 x 10 watercolor and pastel on paper. Ok, we don't have snow here in the Temecula Valley - it has been in the 70's here this week.  But the mountains here are dusted in snow, so I looked to the mountains and thought about the high desert on the other side and imagined a snow scene. I do a lot of my abstract landscapes without looking directly at the subject. That's why I love abstract landscapes - I can do whatever I want! HA!
