Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a mixed media artist who lives in Murrieta, California. I work in acrylics, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and other water and drawing media. Shopping Mall Cityscape Two, abstract oil pastel painting by Carol Engles
10 x 14 oil pastel on paper. I am not sure what I had in mind other than a neutral theme. I am asked how I plan out my paintings and I honestly have to say that sometimes I don't have a plan. And these "planless paintings" are very liberating because of that.

Thanks Elizabeth! Neutral colors can be interesting when you add a bit of color, line or shape I think. Should I do more with this palette?
