Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a mixed media artist who lives in Murrieta, California. I work in acrylics, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and other water and drawing media. My main subjects are abstracts, abstract landscapes, florals and gardens, equine abstracts and pet portraits. I love to use color! I try to incorporate the three C's in all of my work - color, contrast and composition! Most of these paintings are for sale. Please check with me for availability and prices if not posted. A Winning Drive

11 x 17 charcoal and pastel on paper. I used grey and beige pastel with charcoal for this piece. I rubbed the charcoal as well and then added sharper line. Hope you like it.

Cindy,
Thank you for your comment! I am trying to show movement and energy in my equine art. So glad you noticed!

I do like it, although I LOVE your color that you normally use. Good composition.

Thanks Kay! I like to use subtle, neutral color combinations so that the emphasis is on the line and composition. I love working with color too, but sometimes I find color overpowers everything else. Does that make sense?
