Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a mixed media artist who lives in Murrieta, California. I work in acrylics, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and other water and drawing media. My main subjects are abstracts, abstract landscapes, florals and gardens, equine abstracts and dog portraits. I love to use color! I try to incorporate the three C's in all of my work - color, contrast and composition! Most of these paintings are for sale. Please check with me for availability and prices if not posted. Green and Grey

8x10 watercolor with pastel and charcoal on paper. In this piece, I smudged the pastel for a softer technique. These colors are interesting I think. The grey and the blue green are not often seen together. I also used subtle colors like aqua, pink and mauve. It is very easy to use the same colors over and over again, so I think it is important to try different combinations and see what happens!

Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks for the comments. I love to see the colors you use. You surprise me with PINK - which I think is great. I also like the way you add black line to some of your work.
