October Pond Two

10 x 14 mixed media on paper.  Another "pond".  A relatively simple painting that " I took out of my head."  Grasses, brush, trees and a hint of water done again in Fall colors. Hope you like it!

This is so stunning, I love it! How do you go about your process? I'd be really interested in seeing a piece in progress!

Thank you Ashley and Theresa!
To answer your question: technically, I do the background or underpainting in acrylic or watercolor and then add the dry media - pastels, charcoal, crayons etc. I am usually in a relaxed state when I do the abstract landscapes. They are the easiest style that I do. My cityscapes and horses are more demanding for me. Also, I work best early in the morning. I work for a few hours in my studio and then I go out to the horses. I think about what I am going to do the next day before I go to bed. Enough on me! What about your processes! I would love to know!
