Chartreuse Field Seven, abstract landscape by Carol Engles

17 x 23 mixed media on paper. I have done several paintings based on these colors and composition. I think this one came out particularly well because I didn't over work it by keeping the brush strokes and lines loose.

  1. Hi Carol! This is a very nice piece of art, your choice of color is wonderful, soothing and revigorating at the same time... I like the contrast between the loose and strong brush strokes...Is it pastel on acrylic? If you use pastel, does it mean that you have to put a glass for framing? Congrats Andrée C.

  2. Hi Andree! Thanks so much for your comments. This piece is acrylic with pastel. And yes, it does need to be framed under glass. Pastels under glass are so brilliant.
