Venetian Garden One, abstract painting by Carol Engles

14 x 20 acrylic on paper. This was fun to do. I did most of it with my fingers.....adult finger painting I guess. It is actually a bit more purple than it photographed, but for some reason my husband and I couldn't get the purple hue to come out. Mysterious, don't you think. I have no idea what I was thinking when I did this other than experimenting with softness and very little if any line. Hope you like it!

  1. Yes, purple is always playing hide-n-seek...especially in photos. No worries; it's still lovely!

  2. Thanks Theresa and DJ!
I work with line so often, I think it is good to do softer paintings to challenge and mix up my brain a bit. HA!
