Grey and Black, horses in tandem, equine charcoal drawing by Carol Engles
14 x 16 charcoal on paper. I am showing you this in an extra large frame so you can see the detail. Two horses in tandem. I thought this would be fun to do - and it was! And yes! All the legs, hooves, tails and ears are here! I did get confused at times since I did this out of my head. I almost forgot to add the black horse's tail. HA!
I like it much, very nice. Share us more.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I really enjoy doing horses in charcoal - so there will be more to come!
ReplyDeleteExcellent horse sketch! I've never been good with charcoal but it's good to see someone use the medium properly. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shawnte! My first experience with charcoal was in a life drawing class. We could only use charcoal, no pencil. I didn't like it as first, but over the semester I learned more about charcoal and how to control it and not smudge everything. HA! My new thing now is take a kneaded eraser and blend the charcoal, which is what I did in this drawing. Try it!
