Valeroso Three, equine ink drawing by Carol Engles

14 x 16 ink on paper. This drawing was inspired by our Peruvian stallion, Valeroso. I have done several drawings inspired by Val. He's so animated! These are difficult for me to do! Gestural drawings are supposed to be simple with just enough line to capture the subject and movement. It is very easy to add too much line and then you lose the quality of the gesture. Hope you like this. Let me know what you think.
