Aubergine Two, abstract landscape painting by Carol Engles

5 x 7 water media and pastel on paper. I am currently working on a larger (17x23) version of this. I love the colors in these "Aubergine" pieces. Aubergine is French for eggplant. This isn't quite as grapish in color as eggplant, but I love the title anyway. HA! I hope to have the larger piece done in a couple days! So stay tuned! Contact me if you're interested.

    Carol, just stumbled upon your blog. Your abstracts are very appealing, energetic; exciting. I like the use of mixed media; and find this piece especially inviting with the proportion of warms to cools.
