Chartreuse Field Five, abstract landscape painting by Carol Engles

19 x 23 acrylic with pastel on paper. I really enjoy these colors. I have done several abstract landscapes with this combination. Hope you like it.

  1. I love the way you manage to get great field of depth and perspective in an abstract...almost doesn't qualify as abstract!!

  2. Thanks Cindy! You're so kind! These are the most relaxing pieces that I do. To your point about the depth, I find a horizon line, pencil it in and then add more detail in the foreground and less in the horizon.
