8 x 10 watercolor with pastel on paper. I am doing a series of these. They would be fun grouped together I think. I really have no idea where these come from. I just have a whimsical thought I guess and then this is the result. Every now and then someone asks me about my creative process. I think of these works in terms of balance first and then color. I try to make sure that all "the parts" fit and are ultimately pleasing to the eye. And the same for the colors. The obvious thing in this piece, is how the blue balances from the bottom corner to the opposite upper corner. And the neutral colors are in the other corners.
It works! and the city reference is most appropriate...
