Temecula Valley Foothills Two

8x10 mixed media on paper. Another foothills painting. I live in a beautiful valley surrounded by a variety of hills and mountains. From this valley you can see Mt. San Jacinto to the east (Palm Springs is on the other side of this mountain) and Palomar Mountain  to the south (home of the world famous observatory). To the north you can see the San Bernardino Mountains and on clear days you can see the San Gabriel Mountains to the northwest from the ranch. And believe it our not, this part of Southern California has lots of clear days. Plus,  a sea breeze comes through in late afternoon and cools things down. That's apparently one of the reasons grapes grow so well here. I have lots of inspiration here for my abstract landscapes. Hope you enjoy them!
