Windy Yellow Field

8x10 watercolor with pastel on paper. This is a minimalist work with a Southwest feel.  I tried really hard to keep this simple and loose. Sometimes you can over work a painting too much. I have been doing a lot of work lately in violet, blue  and green so it was time to do something in bright sunny colors. It's very warm here today - and will be even warmer tomorrow.
