Greyscape Three

19 x 23 mixed media on paper. Two days of rainy weather in Southern California! A late season storm for us. So I thought this painting was appropriate. I went to the stable to check on the horses and give them their lunch yesterday.  My 31 year old horse, Macs, who lives outside and who has completely shedded his winter coat was shivering. My sweet husband brought him a warm blanket on his way home from work. You never know with a very old horse how they will cope with weather changes etc.  He warmed up and then rolled in his blanket. Happy and comfy at last!

Love this work, it really taps into your feelings about the weather. Nice story about the horse. I'm so glad he's comfy now.

Thanks Jo! I am originally from The Pacific NW, so I should be use to storms. But, I am spoiled now by the Southern California weather. HA! Macs is feeling a lot better today - ate up all his breakfast and lunch!
