Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a mixed media artist who lives in Murrieta, California. I work in acrylics, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and other water and drawing media. My main subjects are abstracts, abstract landscapes, florals and gardens, equine abstracts and pet portraits. I love to use color! I try to incorporate the three C's in all of my work - color, contrast and composition! Most of these paintings are for sale. Please check with me for availability and prices if not posted. Orange and Chartreuse Field

15 x 19 acrylic with pastel and charcoal on paper. The colors in this piece aren't your "normal" landscape color combinations I guess.  And the sky is different, too. But that's the fun of abstract. I have had people ask me why I don't do realistic landscapes. I tell them that I enjoy realistic painting, but I enjoy abstracts more. I love the freedom of abstract and the creativity it allows. You can use your imagination!

Thank Theresa! I thought it was too much peach/orange in the beginning, but the grey & lavender balanced it out I think.
