Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a mixed media artist who lives in Murrieta, California. I work in acrylics, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and other water and drawing media. My main subjects are abstracts, abstract landscapes, florals and gardens, equine abstracts and dog portraits. I love to use color! I try to incorporate the three C's in all of my work - color, contrast and composition! Most of these paintings are for sale. Please check with me for availability and prices if not posted. Abstract Quilt Four

15 x 19 acrylic with pastel and water soluble crayon on paper. This one is fun I think. I like the color combination - rust, brown, gold and the bright green and pink.  But it is hard for me to do.I do each small square as a picture/painting in itself. Then, I have to make sure that they are connected to each other. Of course, this is not as time consuming as doing a real quilt. Ha!

Thanks Theresa! I just deleted my first comment because I misspelled a word and didn't catch it before I posted it! I am tired I guess. Anyway, I like this piece, too. As I said before, these "quilts" are hard for me to do, but I want to do more. I am so glad you enjoy it!
