Buckskin Lusitano Stallion

10x14 pastel and charcoal drawing on paper. I really enjoy the Spanish horses - I have three Peruvian horses that are a lot of fun. The Lusitano is a Portuguese breed and is probably the closest relative to the Andalusian of Spain. They are renowned for their athletic ability and courage. They were developed for the bullring and as a war horse.  The also come in the buckskin color. Magnificent!
