About Me

Murrieta, CA, United States
Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a mixed media artist who lives in Murrieta, California. I work in acrylics, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and other water and drawing media. My main subjects are abstracts, abstract landscapes, florals and gardens, equine abstracts and pet portraits. I love to use color! I try to incorporate the three C's in all of my work - color, contrast and composition! Most of these paintings are for sale. Please check with me for availability and prices if not posted. Galloping Stallion One

5x7 charcoal drawing on paper. No color in this piece! I am so intrigued by charcoal and have gotten so many requests to do more abstract horses, that I have decided to give it a try! I only want to do horses in motion or sport with emphasis on their movement. I have already been doing horses in mixed media with ink, watercolor and pastel; but, there is something elegant about charcoal, don't you think?

Thank you DJ! I want to do more horse drawings with charcoal. It is hard to keep them simple and not "over draw" them. So, I will do them very quickly and hope they turn out well! We'll see!
