Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a mixed media artist who lives in Murrieta, California. I work in acrylics, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and other water and drawing media. My main subjects are abstracts, abstract landscapes, florals and gardens, equine abstracts and dog portraits. I love to use color! I try to incorporate the three C's in all of my work - color, contrast and composition! Most of these paintings are for sale. Please check with me for availability and prices if not posted. Down the Hillside Course

8x10 mixed media on paper. Today is the opening day of the Oak Tree Meeting at Santa Anita. It's one of America's most beautiful racetracks. The hillside turf course is just that - a course that starts on a hill and then crosses the main track and on to the main turf course. Today was a GREAT day for the president of our California Thoroughbred Farm Managers Association. His grey gelding, California Flag, won the featured race, The Morvich Handicap Stakes, on the hillside turf course for the SECOND year in a row! YEAH!!
