This is a 5x7 abstract with watercolor and pastel. "Aubergine" represents a combination of plum, purple, mauve and a hint of brown. It makes a nice color combination, don't you think?

Misty Day One
This is a 5x7 acrylic on paper. I am enjoying acrylics. I am learning about the unique qualities of this medium - and I must admit that it is very versatile. I like to work quickly and that's good because acrylic dries quickly! Hope you like it. I am going to do more of these subdued color abstract landscapes.

Red Falls
I posted this today on the Daily Painters Marketplace. This is an acrylic painting on paper. It's a 4x4. That's a great deal don't you think! I have always loved abstracts. When I was 15 or 16 I entered our local county fair and won an award for my abstract painting. I was in the adult division because they didn't have an abstract division for juniors! I was so proud of my accomplishment. My mom encouraged me to enter. She is a big fan of abstracts! Thanks Mom!
