This piece is what I call "scribbly". Lots of swirling lines reminds me of how I enjoyed art as a kid. It's fun to be loose and unworried by perfect shapes and representation. This is pastels and watercolor on paper. Hope you like it!

Red Burst
This piece I'm calling "Red Burst". I use red blocks for a center of focus in a lot of my abstracts. Here I decided to use red "outside the box" (excuse the pun!) and used pink and blue instead. I am really trying not to rely on the same format each time. I'm currently doing some work with grays, yellows, purples and mint green. I very rarely use gray, so we'll see what happens! I hope to post them soon.

Olive Greenscape
JUST FINISHED! This is an abstract which is really a landscape. I love doing these. I first paint the background in watercolor - the field, the hills or trees in the distance and the sky. Then I add the detail with watercolor crayons and pastels. I decided to do both the sky and the field in olive green. That's a departure for me. I am trying to work with different colors. I added the blue for contrast. I think I will call this piece "Olive greenscape". SOLD
