Light Blue Horizon

This is another all acrylic 5x7 piece on paper. I rubbed off some of the paint and I also scraped away some of the paint with the end of my brush. I see this as a marsh leading to an inlet or ocean? Or maybe it is something else! That's the fun of abstracts! I am really enjoying working with acrylics as watercolor.

Lavender Horizon

This is another acrylic on paper painting.  It is 5x7. I rubbed off some of the paint and then painted over it and rubbed it again. I really like the texture that I get doing this!

Low Blue Horizon

This is another 4X4 acrylic on paper. I rubbed out some of the paint and then added other color over that and rubbed it out as well for texture. Tell me what you think.

Light Green Trees

Hey! I was in Seattle for 5 days for my niece's wedding. It was wonderful to see her & her husband start their new life! I'm back at work now. Here is a 4x4  with acrylic on paper. I am trying to use acrylic by itself and see what happens. I paint the acrylic and then rub some of it off with a rag to get some texture.

Windy Day Two

This piece is a 5x7 abstract is done in a very loose style with squiggly and slashing line. I really like to draw over a painting like this. I am not very successful with a piece if I overwork it too much, so this helps me keep it immediate and lively. SOLD

Orange Red Burst

Boy! I guess I was in the mood for bright colors with this one. Pastels are so much fun, because they are so vibrant. I don't like to apply fixative to pastels unless necessary because it can take a way some of the brightness. It's a personal preference. This piece is 8x10 and compliments others that I have on my website.
