Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a mixed media artist who lives in Murrieta, California. I work in acrylics, watercolor, pastel, charcoal and other water and drawing media. My main subjects are abstracts, abstract landscapes, florals and gardens, equine abstracts and pet portraits. I love to use color! I try to incorporate the three C's in all of my work - color, contrast and composition! Most of these paintings are for sale. Please check with me for availability and prices if not posted. Temecula Vista Five, abstract landscape by Carol Engles

5 x 8 watercolor, pastel and charcoal on paper. I have done several of these sketchy paintings of the Temecula Valley where I live. I am not sure what number this one should be! I was too lazy to check my files, so I numbered this one 5! Also, this could fit into a 5x7 mat and frame. It just ended up being 5x8 because I wasn't paying attention. HA! I just finished a couple larger - 19 x  23 - pieces in this style.  Hope you like them! To purchase contact me at: jcengles@verizon.net

Hi Carol,
You're stuff is better than ever! You've grown so much in your talent and you always were just the absolute best. Gorgeous work. I loved the horse races and the landscapes, loved it all. We still have your pictures exactly where they've always been and never grown complacent with them. They delight us everyday. You look great too. Hope you're happy and having fun. All is good here. Time flies, this Wednesday I'll get my 20 year pin at the RG! Really still love your abstracts. They kill! My e-mail is sandy.raney@registerguard.com
Love, SR

Thanks Sandy! And thanks for encouraging and supporting me from the beginning! Plus, you are my inspiration as an interior decorator extraordinaire! The colors and textures in your home influenced me. I would never have found chartreuse without you! I miss you, Mark and my friends at the RG. Please keep in touch and congratulations on your 20 years.
Love,
Carol
